Chiropractic Care

What is Chiropractic Care?

Chiropractic is a health care profession that focuses primarily on musculoskeletal disorders involving the spine and extremities. Chiropractors utilize a variety of techniques and methods to evaluate and treat conditions conservatively. Some of the those methods including chiropractic manipulation, exercise rehab, sports taping, massage therapy/myofascial release, soft tissue therapy, bracing, and other intervention methods. Some of the most commonly conditions treated by chiropractors include low back pain, neck pain, headaches, whiplash injuries, pain in the joints of arms and legs, vertigo, and posture related issues.

Benefits of Chiropractic Care

The greatest benefit of chiropractic care is the ability to treat most common musculoskeletal complaints conservatively, without the need for drugs and surgery. Long term medication use and surgery are important components of the healthcare field but may have associated side effects and/or long term repercussions from their use. Typically, conservative chiropractic treatments (manipulation, exercise rehabilitation, physiotherapeutic modalities, etc.) do not have such effects.

Additionally, your chiropractor will be able to educate you on how to prevent and in some cases control future incidences from occurring. As much as we like to see you in our office, we would rather have you feeling good and out in the world, enjoying your life. It is our goal to teach and empower you alongside your treatments.

Physician Referrals

Chiropractic care can be a great adjunct alongside standard medical treatments for complex and chronic cases. We receive referrals from many different physicians for a variety of services including chiropractic manipulation, exercise rehabilitation, and massage/myotherapy treatments. If you are a physician or are working with one and would like to refer a patient to our office for treatment, please call (907) 222-2100. We request that the patient be given copies of their pertinent medical records (including any recent radiology studies) to bring in for their appointment with us. Treatment notes and a summary of the referred patients treatments will be sent back to the referring physician. Our doctors work with many different providers across the complete spectrum of healthcare and would love to answer any questions about mutual patients or any other general questions that you may have. Call us anytime.
